Great Info for Cancer Patients Facing Prostate Surgery, 2003-02-08Dr. Shabsigh's book is an excellent source of information and a great comfort to someone diagnosed with prostate cancer and faced with a decision regarding treatment options. His book was recommended to me when I was considering radical prostate surgery to remove my newly diagnosed cancer. From my research it was clear that surgery was the best option for me but I was greatly concerned about the possibility of side effects from surgery that could interfere with the quality of my life. Reading Dr. Shabsigh's book gave me the reassurance and optimism to go forward with surgery. My surgery was 100% successful and everything I read in Dr. Shabsigh's book is true. I have sinced purchased other copies of his book for friends who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer. This book should be recommended by urologists to their patients who have been diagnosed with cancer and are considering treatment options.
